Christian Men’s Ministry Leadership Coalition

As we scanned the tri-county terrain we could not find any compelling evidence of an ongoing
relationship-based fellowship of Christian men’s ministry leaders. Although various expressions of this
level of fellowship existed before the recent pandemic, significant expressions of vital fellowship and
friendship relationships have not been noted in the Summer/Fall of 2022.

The vision/mission/purpose for establishing the Christian Men’s Ministry Leader Coalition (CMMLC) is
to re-establish some of these vital relation-based fellowships. Our focus would initially be five-fold:
(1) To please Our Lord by establishing a greater local order of relationship-based Christian men’s leader
unity across denominational, racial and cultural lines per Ephesians 4:1-6 and John 17:20-23.

(2) Led by Holy Spirit, to create and experience the synergistic effect of the kindred spirit when Christian
Men’s Ministry leaders are fellowshipping together, praying together, sharing together, believing
together, and encouraging one another. Becoming participants in a shared vision for The Great
Commission and The Harvest of souls throughout the Low Country and beyond. Matthew 28:18-20 and
John 4:34-38.

(3) To enhance and support the vision of each local church pastor, especially for discipling men to be
increasingly Christ-like as husbands, fathers, brothers, and leaders, vis a vie a vibrant local men’s
ministry. Colossians 3:1-4; Philippians 3:13-14; 2 Timothy 2:2.
(4) To encourage the establishment of trans-generational relationships within the coalition and within
each local church to bear such fruit throughout the Tri-County and beyond. Psalm 33:11; 89:1; 100:5

(5) To serve as a nexus for encouraging participation in periodic local men’s conferences and Christian
gatherings which cut across these same denominational, cultural and racial lines. Providing a coalition
website for sharing information about events, opportunities to serve, and dynamic discipleship resources,
etc. Psalm 133; Galatians 3:24-29.

The strategy includes an initial meeting of all interested men’s ministry leaders to be held at Charleston
Southern University at The Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership on November 1 at 7:30 am. The
plan would be for monthly gatherings at the Whitfield Center to implement the coalition vision, mission
and purpose as well as emerging coalition strategies.
